Verizon WAVE (Womxn’s Association of Verizon Employees) kicks off Women’s History Month on Tuesday, March 1 with a LinkedIn Live event that is sure to inform, inspire and celebrate women and their allies. This program will feature Deborah Tsai Munster, Seramount’s Vice President of People, Culture & Operations, and she’ll be joined by our Q&A host, SVP and Chief DEI Officer Magda Yrizarry.

Together these two DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) industry leaders will enlighten us about gender biases and how women of all backgrounds can challenge them. Deborah will share some eye-opening data and how she was personally impacted by gender bias. As our program hosts, WAVE leaders Kia Wilson and Rashmi Ketha will spotlight the important achievements of WAVE, our largest global employee resource group (ERG) with more than 12,000 members from 32 countries. They’ll provide insights about the positive impact  being achieved through WAVE events and the membership’s high levels of engagement in volunteerism.

As we officially kick off Women’s History Month next week, we’ll dissect the theme of #BreakTheBias further with a month-long calendar of events that aims to identify how we can all work towards breaking barriers. You’ll also hear from EVP & Chief Technology Officer and WAVE Executive Sponsor Kyle Malady as he sends an important message about elevating women, the positive impact of WAVE to the V Team, and the essential work still ahead of us.

Deborah has the experience to #BreakTheBias.

Prior to joining Seramount, Deborah served as the VP of Talent and Inclusion for the ADT Corporation, responsible for fostering a diverse and inclusive culture through employee engagement, and for the development of a global Talent and Leadership Development strategy. Other roles in which she was responsible for DEI include leadership positions with Merrill Lynch and JPMorgan Chase. Notably, as the VP of Employee Engagement and Diversity with JPMorgan Chase, she led one of the largest corporate cultural change programs, engaging more than 60,000 employees in one year.

Deborah holds a BS in Finance from Lehigh University and is an avid community volunteer and soccer coach, alongside her two daughters and her spouse.

Now please join us.

There are two ways to join the LinkedIn Live event on Tues, March 1 at 12 PM ET.

And speaking of joining us, isn’t it time you join WAVE or any of our other ERGs today? Join as someone with an interest or as an ally, and then help us move the world forward for all. We can’t wait to see you on March 1 — you don’t want to suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out), now do you?
