Verizon FiOS has a long history of showcasing international movies and shows, and our industry-leading video on demand content in particular reflects a kaleidoscope of cultures, and serves our broad customer base.
For the next two weeks, and in celebration of the Hindu festival of lights known as Diwali, (also called Deepavali) we’ll celebrate one of the fastest growing movie and entertainment industries called Bollywood by offering free premium Bollywood Hits on Demand, a subscription on demand service.
India’s mainstream movie production hub Bollywood has been growing steadily over the years and has been producing more movies in the past several years than Hollywood. And the vibrancy of Bollywood is further brightened during the festive season
To expose FiOS TV customers to Bollywood entertainment, we’ll offer access to a selection of free Bollywood Hits On Demand content through Nov. 10.
To find the content and free selections, customers can click on the blue “on demand” button with a white star on their FiOS TV remote control, and then follow this string: Free & Premium > Premium Channels > Premium Freeviews > Bollywood Music & Movies
November Highlights
Here’s some key November highlights of movies that will appear on Bollywood Hits On Demand:
Shootout at Wadala available Nov.1 – 28 : A crime thriller based on the encounter between Mumbai police and notorious gangster Manya Surve during a time when gang wars were rife in Bombay.
Desi Boyz available Nov. 8 – Dec. 5: Two friends lose their jobs and become male escorts in order to make ends meet, but have trouble hiding their new jobs from their girlfriends.
Warning available Nov. 15 – Dec. 12: Seven friends stranded in shark infested waters: the lucky ones will die first and the rest will experience the worst nightmares of their lives.
Grand Masti available Nov. 29 – Dec. 26: The Masti boys are back! Now married and hoping to have a good time at their college reunion, they just can’t seem to stay out of trouble.
