⏱️ He may be new, but Nandish says his journey so far has been “filled with excitement, lots of opportunities, and fulfillment.” It doesn’t get much better than that, but since this is ⏱️2-Minute Break, we had to know more.
🤝 How would you describe your job to someone you just met?
I help our leaders execute their strategy and help the company realize tangible business benefits.
💼 What did you do before coming to Verizon?
I was in the consultancy industry for almost 20 years, moving across the world, living in India, Hong Kong, South Africa and the United States.
🌍 Of those four countries, which was your favorite?
South Africa. The warmth of the people and their generosity helped make it my second home.
🍛 What’s your favorite comfort food?
A bowl of rice accompanied by flavorful Indian curry or Indian lentils.
✨ What’s the best part of your job?
Collaborating with talented individuals, absorbing their wisdom, and knowing that our collective effort affects the organization’s financial health.
💬 Do you volunteer?
I'm active on careervillage.org -- a nonprofit where students pose questions and professionals such as myself answer them.
💎 Do you have any family heirlooms?
I have a 300- pound cash safe that’s more than 100 years old. It belonged to my great-grandfather, who had it built for his business.
🎭 Who inspires you? Why?
I would say Tom Hanks. I really like his relentless pursuit for excellence and his commitment to his craft. I have seen him improve with every movie he does, and that deeply resonates with me.
