Teachers are like magicians. With just a few tools and some creative approaches, a teacher can inspire a child’s curiosity about the world around them. Every day, they work tirelessly to educate the next generation of leaders and innovators. Teachers give the world to their students, so we’re giving back to them.
May 2 - 6 is Teacher Appreciation Week. A week to honor our teachers and the significant contributions they make in our lives. In addition to our ongoing teacher discounts and Verizon Innovative Learning HQ, a free online curriculum for teachers providing digital resources, we want to show our support for those teachers who are going above and beyond to make learning attainable for all of our children. For this reason, Verizon has partnered with the TIME Innovative Teachers project, to profile 10 teachers who are changing the landscape of education in America through innovation.
Do you know an innovative teacher? Here’s your chance to honor them. All you have to do to nominate your favorite teacher is click the link in this story. You have until May 4th to nominate a great teacher, and the final list will be announced at the end of May. Teachers can nominate themselves, or others can nominate them on their behalf, so be sure to share this with family and friends. We want to spotlight teachers who demonstrate how creativity and innovation can transform classrooms when technology and resources are provided to them.
