This has been a uniquely challenging time, but one of the bright spots of 2020 is seeing the V Team come together for the greater good. Over the past year, we have recorded more than 400,000 volunteer hours as we work towards our company-wide goal of 2.5 million hours by 2025. While we are well on our way, there are many  causes and communities that need our support, especially during the holidays.

Give one more hour.

As we approach the end of 2020, we want to rally our greatest arsenal – the V Team – to come together and volunteer one more hour each to make a difference before the end of the year.

Visit the Volunteer Portal today and find a cause that speaks to you and your interests. Whether you want to spot penguins, write letters to veterans or older adults, or offer your time as a mentor to young students – there is something for everyone on the Volunteer Portal. Here are some of the latest and greater events:

Represent Citizen Verizon and help VtoV.

As part of Citizen Verizon, our plan for economic, environmental, and social advancement, volunteerism is just one of the many ways to give back.

Starting today, we have Citizen Verizon t-shirts available for purchase, so you can represent Verizon’s commitment to social responsibility when you are out in your community. Produced by an African-American female-owned business, Ten10Design, a $5 contribution from the sale of each shirt will go to VtoV, our employee relief fund.

The clock is ticking. Let’s make sure the final weeks of 2020 are defined by how we showed up as the V Team to make a difference for those in need.
