Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Norma Torres (D-CA) introduced the “911 Saves Act,” a bill that would direct the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to reclassify 9-1-1 call takers and dispatchers (currently known as “Public Safety Telecommunicators”) as “Protective Service Occupations.”
