Connect a smartphone, tablet, computer, or game console to Wi-Fi

To add a device to your Wi-Fi network, you will need your router login username and password. If you don’t remember your Wi-Fi password, learn how to find your Wi-Fi password.

After finding your Wi-Fi password, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions of your device to add it to your home network. You can also find additional information through:

Add a smartphone or tablet
Apple iOS device

From your Home screen, select:

Settings > Wi-Fi > enable Wi-Fi > choose a Network > enter Wi-Fi password > select Join

Android device

Start from Apps and select:

Settings > Wi-Fi > enable Wi-Fi > choose a Network > enter Wi-Fi password > select Join

Note: When you enable Wi-Fi, your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks.
Add a computer (Mac or PC)
On your computer, find the Wi-Fi icon. If Wi-Fi is off, turn it on. Next, select:

Wi-Fi to show the networks available

Click on your network name and enter your Wi-Fi password

Click on Join, Connect, or similar options on your computer
Add a game console
Connect an Ethernet cable directly from your game console into your the LAN port on your router for the fastest connection speed. If you choose to wirelessly connect a gaming system, follow these basic steps:

Locate the Connection settings or Network settings menu on your gaming system

Select the Wi-Fi or Wireless option and let your system scan for available Wi-Fi networks

Select your Wi-Fi name and enter your Wi-Fi password

Your gaming system may offer you an option to test the connection. You may need to adjust your network security or parental control settings. Refer to your gaming system’s user guide for additional information.
