What are Web Push Notifications, why am I receiving them, and how do I opt out?

With web push notifications, Verizon can keep in touch with consumers who are interested in staying informed about the latest Verizon Fios deals and offers through notifications served in their browser. Consumers may opt in to receive these messages when they visit Verizon’s website.

Consumers who no longer wish to receive notifications can opt out at any time by going through their browser settings and following the prompts.

Chrome

Unsubscribe when receiving a notification
1. Click the gear icon in the notification, which opens the browser notification preferences

2. Find the site the notification was from in the list and click the 3 dots icon

3. Click Remove

Unsubscribe from a site you are on in Chrome (PC)
1. Click the info button to the left of the site's URL

2. Click Allow next to Notifications

3. Click Always block on this site

Unsubscribe from browser preferences
Go to the browser notification preferences by entering in the URL chrome://settings/content/notifications

Find the site the notification was from in the list and click the three (3) dots icon
3. Click Remove

Firefox

Unsubscribe when receiving a notification in Firefox (PC)
1. Click the gear icon in the notification

2. Click Disable notifications from verizon.com

Unsubscribe from a site you are on in Firefox (PC)
1. Click the info button to the left of the site's URL.

2. Click the 'X' next to Receive Notifications under Permissions

Unsubscribe from browser preferences in Firefox (PC)
Go to the browser privacy preferences by entering in the URL about:preferences#privacy

Scroll down to Permissions and click Settings... next to Notifications
3. Find the site you want to unsubscribe from and click Allow

4. Change Allow to Block, and then click Save Changes
