This Gizmo is ready for adventure, with a diamond-like coating protecting its larger 1.6" display from scratches. It comes with a wireless dock that makes it easy to just set it down, charge it up and go. For young minds, there’s a math game for turning idle time into learning time. Gizmo helps kids stay active with a daily step goal that you set for them in the GizmoHub app. Parents can use GizmoHub⁴ to manage, text, call¹ and locate² their child’s Gizmo. And with voice calls, a QWERTY keyboard and speech-to-text messages, it’s easy for kids and parents to stay in contact. This Gizmo model is without camera for parents who prefer to not have that option.

This has been a great watch for my daughter - she can get in touch with me or my husband easily with a text or a call. Would definitely recommend it to someone wanting to keep track of their kids without all of the bells and whistles of an apple watch.

Hi Spragur. Yes, Gizmo Watch 3 and Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure have some differences. Adventure does not have a camera, but it does have more scratch resistant screen and a wireless charger. Gizmo does not access online content, plus not having a music player saves on the battery consumption. Of course, your child's location is a top concern. That's why location and map features are front and center on the GizmoHub app. Create location alerts to know your child's location at a specific time each day or when they cross in or out of specific areas. Tap the refresh location or real-time tracking buttons to get location updates on demand. Also, your child can easily use their Gizmo to check in and send you a real-time location notification.

Stay connected.

Keep in touch through voice calls and in-app messaging. Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure comes with an accurate, easy to use QWERTY keyboard. I thought it was a little more rating and simple ! I can’t pick up on my son back ground when he is away from me and the location is slow on updates , I was also gave one price and now that I received it the price is 76 dollars more

First off the watch is good. But I was under the impression it had a camera on it from what I read. I upgraded from the 2 to the 3 for my daughter. So reading the the details it says has a rear camera. Then I try setting it up once I get the watch I see no option to set it up. Go back to info in the watch then I read the specs and I reads under where it says has rear camera. Then it says this watch has no camera for parents who don't want it. I'm disappointed.

Charging pad (with no studs) is best feature. My son likes the ability to track activities like walking and running. Location tracking seems faster than Gizmo Version 1.

Hi Tim. Thanks for mentioning the Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure's wireless charging dock. It does make charging easier. Did you notice how when you put it on the charger, the watch goes into nightstand mode? You can even set an alarm so your son gets up for school with a bit less hassle from you :-) Cheers!

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

This watch is perfect for my 7 year old! It’s easy to work and has fun learning games! It allows for up to 20 contacts and gizmo to gizmo messages between his friends. The ONLY thing I wish they would update for this watch is for it to be Water Proof, these are kid watches that are worn in many activities outside and waterproofing would make parents minds more at ease.

Regarding We'd say that Gizmo Watch 3 is water-resistant, but here's some context you might find helpful: The IP68 rating Gizmo Watch 3 means the watch can be submerged in shallow water for up to an hour. It's good for, say, washing hands, getting caught in the rain and such. However, being overly cautious, we don't recommend using it while swimming, and avoid exposing it to high-pressure water spray, for example at a water park, or from a hose, or from jumping into the pool.

I like the watch and the corresponding app is also surprisingly good. Lots of features and parental control is excellent! Only criticism is the GPS locating leaves a bit to be desired. The accuracy of a typical smart phone is about 10-15 feet. However the Gizmo accuracy is often 50-100 feet. This is good to get an idea where your kid is, but it may not even show at the correct house. Definitely an area for improvement. Battery life is ok, not great. Drains quickly if used for phone calls.

I have returned this item. I don’t know how well it works. Verizon had great difficulty trying to get it activated and after an hour of struggle on the line with them, the product lost its charge. Since there was no charger (no brick) included with the product, that was the end of life for the giz3 in our house. I am still waiting for my refund, as UPS shows they received the product back 3 business days ago. I stopped counting time to wait for them to get our old gizmo operational again. I am disappointed. We would have liked some time with the product, but we were unaware the charger was not included (for that price!), it wasn’t a standard brick for our house, and we needed uninterrupted, operational phone service.

We can appreciate your frustration, but here is some information you may find helpful. Across manufacturers of small rechargeable electronics such as smartphones and smartwatches it is a common practice to include a charging cable but not the power adaptor "brick." You can use a commonly available US standard 120v / 60Hz type A adaptor that has a two prong plug into the wall and a USB-C connector to plug the charging cable into. Can you use any wireless charger? Just purchased for my son and he travels back and fourth from my house to his moms and that’s one more thing to go missing in transport

Does the Gizmo watch require WiFi?

Wi-Fi is not required but is used in the background when available to assist with location accuracy. All user-accessible features are connected by the Verizon LTE network.

Can you purchase/change bands with the Adventure model?
