      Term


      The CALNET CVD services agreement with Verizon was executed on 5/23/19 and expires on 6/30/25.

       

      Eligibility

       

      • State agencies (i.e., executive, judicial and legislative branches) are eligible for CALNET Cellular oice and Data (CVD) services.
      • Non-state entities are eligible for CALNET CVD services if they meet any of the following criteria:
      • Local governmental entity
      • Local governmental entities are defined as:

      Any city, county, city and count, district or other governmental body or corporation, including the California State Universities (CSU) and University of California (UC) systems, K-12 schools and community colleges’, empowered to expend public funds for the acquisition of products, per Public Contract Code Chapter 2, Paragraph 10298 (a) (b).

      • 100% tax supported
      • Has a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA)
      • Federally recognized tribe
      • Non-Profit entities are not eligible to purchase CALNET CVD services.

      Customized Service Plan (CSP) Options:

      In addition to CALNET standard cellular plans, the contract provides a Customized Service Plan (CSP) option for cellular services.

      CSP allows contractors to tailor service plans to the customer's specific business requirements.

    • My Business is the online self-service tool for Verizon Wireless business and government customers. My Business enables you to view and pay your bills, create business structures, view select reports and maintain your account. Additionally, your designated employees can purchase equipment, accessories and service using My Business’s functionality.

      Email necessary changes to POCUpdates@Verizonwireless.com. Please include the Name, Email, and Contact Number for the New Authorized Contacts, as well as the Profile Number to which the contact should be added.

      My Business

      VZAccess Manager is a software client that simplifies connecting PCs wirelessly to our Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband services, Wi-Fi hotspots and government VPN connections. VZAccess Manager is compatible with our data cards, ExpressCards, USB modems, most Mobile Broadband-capable embedded laptops, and PCs tethered to certain Smartphones, BlackBerry devices, and handsets. VZAccess Manager allows your government subscribers to easily launch their VPN client and government applications, send and receive text messages, and get usage and support information. VZAccess Manager is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems.
