Section I.5: Intrastate SONET Access
I. SERVICE DESCRIPTION: Intrastate SONET Access is provided by MCI Legacy Company. Intrastate SONET Access is a high capacity digital local access arrangement that consists of a Local Access circuit (Local Loop) that provides OC3 and above Local Loop access to Intrastate SONET in conjunction with Intrastate Analog Local Access, Intrastate T-1 Digital Access, Intrastate DS0 (Hubless) Access, and Intrastate DS-3 Local Access.

IV. RATES AND CHARGES: All charges for Intrastate Analog Local Access, Intrastate T-1 Digital Access, Intrastate DS-0 (Hubless) Access and Intrastate DS-3 Local Access will apply in addition to the following charges for OC3 and above Local Loops, with the following exceptions:
1. Intrastate SONET Access Monthly Recurring Charges.
1.1 Type 1 Monthly Recurring Charges. For new circuits installed on or after March 1, 2010, when the local loop is provisioned entirely on MCI Legacy Company-owned fiber (Type 1 Lit Building), or on other Company facilities designated as Type 1 on the Guide, Type 1 monthly recurring charges apply. Network configuration is determined at the time of the Customers initial order. Company may substitute other facilities of Companys choosing, including replacing non-MCI Legacy Company facilities with MCI Legacy Company facilities and/or with facilities from another non-MCI Legacy Company facilities provider, as applicable, without changing the classification of the network configuration associated with the Customers Service as initially ordered provided that Customer service levels will remain at least the same. The following monthly recurring per-circuit charges apply to Type 1 circuits:

1.2 Type 3 Monthly Recurring Charges. The Type 3 monthly recurring per-circuit charges for OC3 and above are calculated on an individual case basis.
2. Intrastate SONET Access Non-Recurring Charges. A non-recurring per-circuit charge of $3000 will apply.
3. Network Connection Charge. The following monthly recurring and non-recurring charges will apply, per connection, only for circuits installed on or after October 1, 1998, whether access is MCI Legacy Company‑provided or Customer‑provided, except that for certain circuits in legacy networks designated by Company, the prior changes will remain in effect for circuits installed from October 1, 1998 through April 30, 2014, if access is Customer-provided.
For SONET DS3 and SONET STS-1, the following charge will apply:

4. Charges for special arrangements, including engineering, construction, labor, facility costs and other costs associated with making the interconnection compatible between the Customer's and the MCI Legacy Company's equipment and/or facilities are additional and at the expense of the Customer and shall be charged on an individual case basis.
5. Paper Invoice Charge applies.
6. Convenience Payment Charge applies.
7. Other Non-Recurring Charges.
7.1 Customer Support Services charges apply.
7.2 Intrastate Administrative Non-Recurring Charges apply.
V. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: In addition to The Online Master Terms - Terms and Conditions of Service apply, the following apply:
1. Commitment Period. Customer commits to pay the applicable circuit MRC for any Network Services Local Access Service circuit of DS3 or larger for a minimum of 12 months, which Customer must pay even if the circuit is cancelled sooner (unless cancelled by Customer for Cause, as defined in Customers service agreement).
