This feature enables users to utilize Verizon's network from virtually anywhere. Connected laptops powered by Verizon Business utilize Windows, Chrome or Linux operating systems.

In conjunction with a Verizon Business Connected Laptop Data Plan4, a connected laptop can provide on-the-go internet access , offering connectivity even in areas where Wi-Fi coverage may not be available. By connecting to a secure cellular network like Verizon’s, you won’t need to log onto public Wi-Fi networks, which may leave your data vulnerable to breaches.

Yes. Many more recent laptop models are manufactured with built-in 5G/4G LTE modules that enable the devices to connect to a cellular network using an eSIM or physical SIM card.

Yes. Verizon partners with major laptop manufacturers to ensure that there is a broad selection of 5G/4G LTE-enabled laptop models available for purchase, as well as connected laptop plans to suit your business needs. Verizon offers a selection of connected laptops available for purchase directly through Verizon. You can also purchase connected laptops certified for use on the Verizon network through authorized resellers or directly from leading manufacturers.

Depending on the model, connected laptops can be enabled for 5G, 4G LTE or both.

If your laptop runs on Windows, you can check to see if it’s cellular-enabled by navigating to Settings > Network & Internet, you should see Cellular listed as a connection option.

After enrolling in a Verizon Business Unlimited Laptop Data Plan, you can activate by one of two different methods depending on whether your laptop features an eSIM or physical SIM Card.

  • eSIM - Activation instructions can be found here. Go to Step by Step Activation Instructions > Windows Laptop. 
  • Physical SIM Card - Call a Verizon representative at 800-922-0204 OR request a physical SIM card by logging into your Verizon business account and requesting a physical SIM during plan selection.
