Critical challenges
need critical partners.

Strengthen your front line in cybersecurity.

Find out how
  • As more critical infrastructure is digitalised to respond to the increasing needs of society, the attack surface increases and with it, the prospect of life-threatening disruption.

As the largest provider of managed security services to the Australian Department of Defence, Verizon is uniquely positioned to help industry respond. Our global expertise in security and threat monitoring helps prevent breaches and minimize impact should a security incident occur.

Securing how we work, live and play

Over 25% of all incidents the Australian Cyber Security Centre responded to in 2021 were against critical infrastructure targets. Read about the threats, the actors behind them and what practical steps you can take to help mitigate the risk.

    • Understanding the new changes to legislation.

    • New legislation, COVID disruption and escalating cybersecurity threats have highlighted how vital critical infrastructure is to how we live, work and play.

The Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Act 2021 (‘the SLACI Act’) and proposed Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure Protection) Act 2022 (‘the SLACIP Act’) are being put in place to expand the definitions of critical infrastructure to encompass 11 industry sectors. The amendments also create a national register of assets, outline new federal powers and introduces new ‘positive security’ obligations.
