In today’s jam-packed edition of Up To Speed Live:

⚽️ Verizon showed up big at the Copa América tournament.

If you’ve been following Up To Speed, you’ve seen us documenting the Copa América tournament. Verizon Value showed up big to the Copa America final over the weekend, where fellow Up To Speed host Jen Marin came to us from Miami, Florida to give us the scoop.

Verizon gave away tickets to four lucky folks and a +1, which included a tour of Univision studios. The whole experience was “a dream come true,” according to winner Valentina Saavdedra.

Have you seen @DudeWithSign on Instagram at one point or another? Total Wireless even had their own “sign guy” to join him at the tournament. Thanks to Total Wireless' text-to-sign campaign, text messages from fans were put on signs that were held up at the game.

None of this would be possible without Verizon’s best-in-class network. Jen caught up with Associate Director of Field Operations John Rodriguez who was on the ground making sure everything was fully operational, — including our 4G, 5G and Wi-Fi networks — especially for out-of-towners attending the tournament.

🥇2024 J.D. Power Small Business Internet Service Award

Small businesses rely on connectivity. In fact, over half of the small businesses in the U.S. added or upgraded their business internet service last year. We’re proud that Verizon Business’ Small Business Internet Service was named #1 in customer satisfaction, according to the J.D. Power 2024 U.S. Business Internet Satisfaction Study, for the sixth time in a row!

🏆Seramount Top 10 for Multicultural Women

As if the J.D. Power award wasn’t enough, Verizon landed on Seramount’s 2024 Best Companies for Multicultural Women list, and we’re ranked among the coveted Top 10. The Best Companies for Multicultural Women survey evaluates companies in three key areas: Workforce Profile, Recruitment, Retention & Advancement, and Company Culture & Accountability.

🤑$900 wellness credits

When we take care of ourselves, we live well and feel well. So, we deserve a little something extra for prioritizing our self-care.

U.S. management employees who schedule or complete an annual preventive exam by December 31, 2024, can save $600 on 2025 Verizon medical premiums. Plus, when you take simple wellbeing actions during 2025, you can earn up to $300 more to shop or donate.

All you have to do is go to your annual exam with your primary care physician or gynecologist, then go to Virgin Pulse to mark the exam as done. Exams scheduled or completed any time this year will also count!

📋Take the Integrity Survey and Code of Conduct Training.

Integrity is at the heart of everything we do here at Verizon, which is why the ethics team wants to hear your feedback on what we’re doing well and ways we can improve. Yesterday, David Kass, our Chief Compliance Officer, sent out an email with the 5th annual Integrity Survey. Click here to take the survey.

Our Ethics team has a quarterly series called “Accountability in Action,” where you can learn about exactly that. It features actual situations that the team has had to investigate and take action on, all scrubbed for the employees' — and former employees’ — privacy.

And while you’re at it, if you haven’t completed our annual Code of Conduct training, please carve out some time to do it before August 12. You can access this in V Team Central.
