Happy Monday V Team, on today’s edition of Up To Speed live host Raquel Wilson shared a full news rundown

The importance of kindness

Raquel kicked off the show by thanking generous V Teamers for their help in funding our VtoV Employee Relief Fund. The fund helps employees displaced from their homes due to natural disasters such as fire, flood, severe weather, or domestic violence.

We shared a video about V Teamer Julia Stevens who is a Sales Analyst based out of Florida, shared the difference the VtoV fund made in her life following the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.

V Team we ask that you please help keep the VtoV Employee Relief Fund strong by donating today. Every dollar counts to ensure we're ready to aid a V Teamer during their time of need. Verizon pays all administrative fees, so be assured that 100% of every donation goes directly to helping a fellow V Teamer in need.

Native American Heritage Month

It’s November which means it’s Native American Heritage Month! NAV, our employee resource group that stands for Native Americans of Verizon is celebrating with this months’ theme: Uniquely Unified: Our stories connect us.

We shared a video that shared more information about our Native Americans of Verizon ERG.

Team there are plenty of NAV events to look forward to throughout Native American Heritage Month, including a variety of volunteer opportunities on our Verizon Volunteers Portal, an interesting discussion about how we can understand our Genealogy with genealogist David McCorkle. And, a delicious dinner preparation with Liz Martin of NAV alongside NAVs Global Lead Ellcentrell Phillips, they’ll be teaching us how to prepare a sweet potato yam corn salad!

To find links to join these events and for more information on other exciting NAV events, click here.

And if you don’t have a NAV t-shirt, now is your chance to order one. When you purchase a NAV T-shirt, a $5 donation will be made to the Indian College Fund, an organization that provides financial support for Native American students and tribal colleges and universities. The Fund also supports programs for institutional growth and sustainability and cultural preservation.
