On today’s episode of Up To Speed Live, host Diana Alvear shared all of the news of a very exciting week at Verizon.

Here comes Ultra!!!!

All eyes were on Verizon on Tuesday when CEO Hans Vestberg announced that we’re officially turning on C-band later this month. That means the power of Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband will soon be coming to 100 million people in the U.S.. We’re excited about accelerating our wireless broadband rollout around the nation with 5G Home Internet and 5G Business Internet, while at the same time offering our best Unlimited plans for home, phone and business.

To celebrate, we debuted the 5G Ultra Show featuring big stars like Elizabeth Banks and Terry Crews, not to mention the biggest star of all — our 5G Ultra Wideband. We kicked things off by hearing from Verizon Business Group CEO Tami Erwin, Verizon Consumer Group CEO Manon Brouillette, Chief Technology Officer Kyle Malady and Marketing Chief Marketing Officer Diego Scotti. Hans spoke about the fundamentals of our business and our growth targets for the year.

Relief for Colorado wildfire victims

Last weekend, wildfires devastated communities in and around Boulder, Colorado. Tuesday, we announced that Verizon is providing unlimited calling, texting, and data to customers in the areas most impacted by the wildfires in Boulder and Jefferson counties. You don’t have to do anything to benefit from the offer. To those of you who live there or who have loved ones in that area, our hearts are with you.
