If you like the feel of the open road, the feel of the wind in your hair and the speed of great wifi, you’ll love today’s episode of Up To Speed.

Wifi with Volkswagen

Host Andy Choi found himself behind the wheel of the Volkswagen ID.4, which recently set a new world record with the help of in-vehicle connectivity from Verizon, via the latest Car-Net Hotspot technology. Andy caught up with the world record-breaking driver, Rainer Zietlow, and Senior Vice President of Industrial IoT and Automotive for Verizon Business, TJ Fox.

Safety with Nissan

At the same time, Verizon is testing connected vehicle technology to improve roadway safety with Nissan. By leveraging Verizon 5G Edge, 4G LTE, and a Nissan proprietary telematics test platform, drivers will be notified of detected pedestrians or other vehicles emerging from behind visual barriers.

These are two more exciting projects that show we’re continuing to move the world forward.
