Here in the Northeast, the weather is getting warmer and many Memorial Day weekend plans are headed in one direction: the beach.

For everyone looking to get some fun in the sun, today’s Up To Speed shared some fantastic news: Verizon just announced 5G Ultra Wideband coverage at popular New Jersey and Delaware beaches.

And when we say “beaches,” we don’t mean only two or three. In New Jersey alone, there are 16 beaches, including popular destinations like Asbury Park and Long Beach, not to mention some of the most popular Delaware beaches including Dewey, Bethany and Fenwick Island.

While you might expect that our coverage would be limited to beach towns, in fact, you can now get 5G Ultra Wideband service on large swaths of the actual beaches as well. That means, kids can quickly download and stream movies and play multiplayer games while parents can do real work from under their beach umbrellas.

And, 5G coverage extends to other popular vacation spots as well, including parts of Ocean City, MD, and Niagara Falls, NY.

That means that small business customers in these vacation markets now have access to the technology that can dramatically accelerate their digital presence, revolutionizing how they can interact with their customers, track inventory, manage operations, and engage with their workforce.

And for all of us dreaming about other summer trips, we now offer 5G Mobility in 75 cities and getting there is easier now that we’re in 14 major airports, including Chicago’s O’Hare, San Antonio and Salt Lake City. You can also have more fun once you arrive now that we’re in 60 5G stadiums and arenas.

So if you live in the Northeast, grab your sunscreen and head to the beach. The 5G Ultra Wideband is there waiting for you.
