• Monday: We met two incredible V Teamers. Ricardo Gattas-Mora told us the story of meeting his husband, adopting their beautiful baby boy and the book they wrote to celebrate adoption. Ricardo shared how Verizon has been by his side throughout it all. We also met Kamil Gani, an Engineer from Chicago and a devout Muslim who found acceptance and support for his daily religious practices at Verizon. And Up To Speed’s Jess Bonardi told us about how she brings V Teamers stories to life.
• Tuesday: We showed why kindness is cool through the Kindness murals brightening up several cities around the country as part of our Call for Kindness campaign.
• Thursday, we celebrated five years of Up To Speed by taking a look back at some of our favorite moments.

Location, location, location

Verizon Business is now offering Hyper Precise Location (HPL) to Verizon customers and application developers in more than 100 major U.S. markets. Here’s how it works: When HPL is paired with Verizon’s 5G Edge capabilities, it enhances satellite location-based accuracy from a range of meters down to even one to two centimeters! It’s a game changer for vehicle-pedestrian safety.

More access to 5G internet for business

5G Business Internet is expanding to 21 new U.S. cities, a leap from three markets to 24. It's a new kind of business internet ‒ a fixed-wireless alternative to cable that leverages Verizon 5G Ultra Wideband for businesses of all sizes. There are no data limits or throttling, and customers can lock in a low price for 10 years with no long-term contract required.

Univision partnership

Liga MX fans: Get ready for a 5G viewing experience of the most watched soccer league in the United States. Through this partnership, Univision will launch the TUDN Vision content portal experience. You’ll get 360° camera views and camera angles that get you up close to the action with players, spectators and more. The first game is this Saturday, April 17, with América vs. Cruz Azul.

Mind Together

Yesterday, Verizon Media announced Mind Together, a coalition of brands working to address mental health and set a new standard in how employees are supported at work. The goal of Mind Together is to destigmatize mental health at work through education, awareness campaigns and expert-led sessions.

Tree-mendous news from Citizen Verizon

Here’s a stat that will make us all feel proud. Verizon is committed to planting 20 million trees by 2030 and you can help. National Volunteer Week

The second of today’s featured partnerships is with the Women’s Earth Alliance (WEA) which, like Verizon, has joined the World Economic Forum’s 1-trillion tree initiative. As part of that effort, the WEA is hosting a hands-on tree-planting demonstration where you can learn about positive climate impacts of tree-planting such as climate mitigation, improving food security and erosion control and boosting women’s income through tree nursery micro-enterprises.

Wall-to-wall kindness

Speaking of good, let’s dive a little deeper into our Kindness Murals project. Ten new murals have been created in 10 cities, all in the name of kindness. From coast to coast, local artists showed us their interpretation of the word “kindness” for our A Call for Kindness Campaign. One cool feature of the murals is the QR codes. Each code has a video message from a local retail rep to remind us to spread kindness and stop by and see us. See all the murals and their locations.
