Today’s Up To Speed featured the latest in our Women in Business series. The live discussion featured Verizon Business Group CEO, Tami Erwin leading a panel of female executives in professional sports that included:

  • Renie Anderson, Chief Revenue Officer, National Football League
  • Lisa Baird, Commissioner of the National Women’s Soccer League
  • Kim Davis, Senior Executive Vice President, National Hockey League

The women discussed what’s happening in their individual sports, how they have pivoted their leagues due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social and racial justice issues, and how their own careers and leadership styles have evolved.

The Women in Business program is a Verizon initiative aimed at supporting small business owners in the wake of COVID-19. The program includes one-to-one mentorship, industry-specific panels, and content celebrating the achievements and lessons from female small business owners.
