Phase 3 plans

On today’s Up To Speed Live, Christy Pambianchi and Joe Russo answered questions related to Phase 3, including how and when locations will open, who will return to work, office layouts, home garaging, travel, testing and office supplies for at-home workers.

Additional small business support

Verizon today announced an additional $2.5 million donation to small business support through the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), bringing the total funding of LISC’s Verizon Small Business Recovery Fund to a potential $7.5 million.

Verizon and LISC also announced the first round 200 grant recipients from across the country that will each receive $10,000 to support their small businesses, helping them meet payroll, pay rent and address additional immediate operational needs. The grants will be distributed by LISC with funds contributed by Verizon through our #PayitForwardLIVE bi-weekly streaming series.

A helpful charge

Verizon is working with iHeartMedia to donate tens of thousands of smartphone chargers to hospitals across the nation in cities hardest hit by the coronavirus and aid in COVID-19 relief efforts. Many patients seeking treatment for COVID-19 either forget to bring their phone charger to the hospital or don’t have one easily accessible. Losing the ability to communicate with friends and family during a pandemic can be terrifying and healthcare workers are struggling to keep up with the demand for chargers.

#PayItForwardLIVE

You may want to reschedule your Thursday night virtual happy hour, because Janelle Monae will be streaming LIVE from her living room! Don’t miss it tonight, April 30, at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT, on Verizon’s Twitter in support of America’s small businesses.

Wellness Friday
