Stock Together

You’ve probably heard about Stock Together, our new broad-based equity award program that started this month, creating an opportunity for all of us to share in the success of Verizon. To get more info we asked our Compensation team to answer some key questions for us.

We also want to know what you know about Stock Together, so study the Q&A below and take our online quiz. Ace it and you’ll be entered to win Stock Together swag.

When do employee RSUs get paid out?

The first payout will be March 2021, the second in March 2022 and the third in March 2023, exactly three years after the award was granted to you.

Beyond those, will I ever get another grant?

As long as you’re an active employee, you’ll get another one every year, subject to board approval.

Where can I actually see the Stock Together grant?

At the end of March, you will receive an email with instructions to activate your Fidelity Brokerage account, there you will be able to see your RSUs, track their value and access your Grant Notice.

How do RSUs grow?

The value of your RSU award has the opportunity to grow in two ways. First, if our stock price increases, the value of each RSU also increases. Second, quarterly Dividend Equivalent Units (DEU’s) can increase the number of RSU’s you will receive at payout. See FAQs for more information.

What is a DEU?

Dividend Equivalent Units (DEUs) are additional units that will be added to your RSU balance and are equivalent in value to the actual dividend payment made to Verizon shareholders. A DEU will be credited for each quarterly dividend that is declared after the March 2, 2020 grant date. Dividend equivalents are only paid for awards that ultimately vest.

How often does Verizon pay dividends?

Every quarter, subject to board approval.

How do I sign up for the program?

You don’t have to sign up. Verizon does all of the work for you. As long as you’re an active employee on March 2, you’re in.

It’s as easy as that. Again, take the Stock Together online quiz where you can be entered to win some valuable prizes.
