On Monday, Verizon’s 5G Home network officially went live for customers in parts of Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles and Sacramento. Hans Vestberg was in Houston to meet Clayton and Emily Harris, whose home was the first in the world to be powered by Verizon 5G Home.

Plus, we used the stage at the Global Citizen Festival to demonstrate our commitment to education through Verizon Innovative Learning (and you can help), FEMA sends an emergency alert test message on Wednesday, and hear the stories of groundbreaking women at today’s Hispanic Heritage Month documentary screening and discussion.

Don’t forget to give to VtoV - our employee relief fund. More than 800 V Teamers have applied for assistance due to Hurricane Florence. We need your support to help those V Teamers, and keep the fund strong. Whether it’s a one-time donation, or a regular payroll deduction, every contribution makes a difference.

It’s all on today’s Up To Speed, the best place to start your day for everything happening around and inside Verizon.
