May is Military Appreciation Month. Verizon has great deals for our military, both active and veterans. And, Verizon will also donate up to $250K to Wounded Warrior Project on behalf of new wireless customers during the month. In our latest Up To Speed podcast, Marie McGehee sits down with Verizon's chief privacy officer, Karen Zacharia, to discuss privacy in the tech sector, what it all means and how privacy rules might evolve in the future. And, Steve Van Dinter gives us a look at a Public Safety Day in Lewis Center, Ohio.

We also rundown other news: Jeff Lucas, who exited as global head of sales for Snapchat earlier this year, has joined Oath and will head up sales in the US; The world's major jewelry and gem businesses are deploying a blockchain electronic ledger; and, we're celebrating National Small Business Week with some puppies.

The stories.
