Whether video fans love movies, dramas or comedies, the largest ever, Verizon FiOS TV video-on-demand (VOD) marathon, starting Sept. 18, will keep folks happy.

Starting Wednesday, FiOS TV customers can grab their remote control and pop into the FiOS TV On Demand menu (The blue button with a white star above the FiOS TV button).  From there, customers select the “Free Marathon” folder.  In the “Free Marathon” folder, subscribers will find the full list of all of the available movies and TV shows that can be enjoyed during the free VOD marathon, aka binge fest.

Marathon Highlights:

More than 2,000 movies: The top 36 money making movies available in the marathon grossed over $5 billion in 2012 alone, and the options include smash hits such as The Dark Knight Rises, The Hunger Games, Skyfall, The Amazing Spider-Man, Brave, Ted, Wreck-It Ralph, Men In Black 3, Ice Age: Continental Drift, Les Miserables, Hotel Transylvania, Argo, Life of Pi, Flight, Frankenweenie and Bourne Supremacy.

50 full and catch up seasons: Shows from the top TV networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, HBO®, Cinemax®, Starz, National Geographic, Oxygen, AMC, A&E, BBC America, Discovery, Food Network, History, HGTV and TLC. Some of the top shows include Boardwalk Empire, Newsroom, True Blood (season 6), Strike Back (season 1 and 2, plus episode 1-4 from season 3), Parenthood, Chicago Fire, Hawaii 5-0, The Good Wife, Da Vinci’s Demons, Bob’s Burgers, The Walking Dead, Duck Dynasty, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Breaking Amish, Luther, The Great Food Truck Race and Property Brothers.

34 new fall season premiere episodes: Shows include Last Man Standing, The Neighbors and Nashville on ABC; How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, NCIS and CSI on CBS; Bones, New Girl and The Mindy Project on FOX; plus The Voice, Chicago Fire and Revolution on NBC.

10 of the new fall season premieres are brand new shows from ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and OWN.  The new programs include Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, The Goldbergs, Trophy Wife, Lucky 7, Back in the Game, Mom, Dads, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Blacklist and Tyler Perry’s For Better Or Worse.  During the fall, customers can stay up to date with these new shows on VOD on a rolling basis as the four to five most recent episodes will remain in the VOD menu as the season progresses.

All 34 premieres can first be viewed in the VOD menu the day after the premiere airs.  If customers don’t see the program they want live, FiOS TV has got their back.  And while the marathon lasts five days, FiOS TV customers can catch several additional days of bonus time and watch weekly TV shows and season premiers in the VOD menu through Thursday, Sept. 26.

And that’s the beauty of VOD, particularly during this time of year when so many shows are starting a new season.  Given the hectic schedules kept by many people, it’s tough for individuals to watch all the shows they want.  VOD makes “prime time, your time” so consumers can choose when they watch the movies or programs they want to see.
