Verizon is expanding FiOS TV's Spanish-language content offering with the launch of three new channels: Ritmoson Latino, Bandamax and TyC Sports.  These channels join FiOS TV's extensive Spanish-language channel lineup, which now includes 31 of the most popular channels available.

"One of our key goals for FiOS TV is to offer the content that our customers desire, so we are constantly enhancing our multicultural offerings," said Terry Denson, vice president of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon.  "With the addition of these three new Spanish-language channels, we are once again growing our FiOS TV channel lineup and giving our Spanish-speaking customers more content in their native language."

The three channels have already launched in most FiOS TV markets and will be in all areas by the end of the week.  The new channels offer:

  • Ritmoson Latino (FiOS TV Channel 1664), a music and lifestyle channel dedicated to the most popular music played in Latin America, including salsa, son, merengue, pop, hip hop and reggaeton.  With a variety of live, original programs, Ritmoson Latino telecasts music video premieres, live concerts, Latin music news, exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes and genre-focused music segments.

  • Bandamax (FiOS TV Channel 1663), the only channel in the U.S. exclusively dedicated to the most popular Latin music category: regional Mexican.  The channel features music videos as well as live original programming, the latest celebrity news and exclusive concerts.
  • TyC Sports (FiOS TV Channel 1536), the No. 1 sports network from South America, with live coverage of the Argentine first-division soccer league plus soccer from Chile and Paraguay as well as boxing, Argentine basketball, auto racing and more.

The three new channels are included in FiOS TV's Spanish-language and La Conexion packages.  The Spanish-Language package offers 31 of the most popular Spanish-language channels available, including Galavisión, ESPN Deportes and CNN en Español, for $11.99 per month.  Verizon's La Conexion package offers the best in Spanish- and English-language programming, with more than 125 channels, including the 31 Spanish-language channels, up to 14 HD channels and more than 54 of the most popular channels in English.  La Conexion is available separately for $54.99 per month, or in a bundled package with FiOS Internet and voice service.

FiOS TV offers a broad collection of programming, featuring more than 520 all-digital channels including up to 140 HD channels and 18,000 monthly video-on-demand titles.  FiOS also provides next-generation interactive services including an advanced interactive media guide; social networking, news and entertainment widgets; remote DVR management via broadband or cell phone; and more.
