NEW YORK and SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Verizon Online announced today a Web conferencing service for its business broadband customers that enables them to use their computers to easily and securely collaborate with their colleagues online, show presentations and demonstrate products - all without having to leave the office. Citrix® GoToMeetingTM, the award-winning service for easy online conferencing and collaboration, is being provided to Verizon customers through an alliance with the Citrix Online Division of Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:CTXS), the global leader in access infrastructure solutions. Verizon's business customers who sign up for the service will get a discount of up to 50 percent or more off the monthly price after a 30-day free trial.

This latest online service builds on the success of a special Citrix® GoToMyPC® offer, which allows Verizon Online subscribers easy and secure access anytime, anywhere to their office PCs from any Internet-connected computer and works as if the subscribers were in the office. Citrix GoToMyPC was introduced to Verizon Online broadband customers in 2004.

"At Verizon we strive to be one of the first to bring our business customers easy- to-use tools that will enhance their businesses," said Colson Hillier, product director for Verizon Online. "Citrix GoToMeeting is a simple and high-impact business tool that works well with Verizon's upstream and downstream network speeds. GoToMeeting allows users to give presentations, demos and collaborate from their desks, using standard PC desktop applications, a major advantage to small-business owners who cannot afford to be out on the road most of the time."

Robert Mahowald, program director for analyst firm IDC, views the addition of Web conferencing as a competitive advantage for both Verizon Online and its customers. "Premier communications providers such as Verizon distinguish themselves by offering quality broadband service, as well as in-demand solutions that leverage the advantages of high-speed Internet access. Citrix GoToMeeting, designed for ease of use and quick ROI for business and individual users, is a great addition to Verizon's value-added services strategy."

Verizon customers can now start online meetings instantly with GoToMeeting, even via popular applications such as Instant Messaging and e-mail. Key features include: desktop viewing and specific application sharing; easy role-switching for presenters; chat and drawing tools; session recording; and bandwidth connections that self-adjust for high performance and reliability. GoToMeeting also incorporates built-in strong security and data privacy protections.

"The combination of Verizon's premier broadband service and Citrix GoToMeeting's industry defining Web conferencing service is powerful," said Mike Mansbach, vice president of business development and enterprise marketing at Citrix Online. "Verizon Online and Citrix Online are committed to delivering innovative and market-leading services to our customers."
