Bell Atlantic, NETRoadshow to Offer Secure Internet Site for Viewing Public Offering Roadshows

Application Widens Institutional Investors' Access
to Corporate Presentations

NEW YORK -- Bell Atlantic and NET Roadshow is offering a secure
site
to view Public Offering "roadshows" over the Internet, enabling
underwriters to deliver timely information, on demand, to the broadest
audience of potential investors.

The service, which is provided by NETRoadshow and Bell Atlantic
Internetworking and Multimedia Solutions (BAIMS), represents a
significant advancement in the delivery of time-critical investor
information. Recently, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)
authorized the transmission of roadshows for securities offerings
over Intranets/Extranets.

"Roadshow" is a term of art that refers to the presentation of
materials used by investors to evaluate Initial Public Offerings
(IPOs).

NETRoadshow will produce the Internet roadshows for investment banks.
BAIMS will host the application and provide the delivery mechanism --
offering a highly secure delivery channel for issuers and underwriters
with the necessary safeguards to control who accesses the roadshows.

Using a combination of streaming video, audio and graphics offered
over the Internet, the new on-line roadshows will be available for
professional money managers, portfolio managers and research analysts.
Investors may participate in the roadshow through a desktop computer
or workstation over the Internet, or via a special Bell Atlantic
dedicated high speed connection that provides a high resolution,
full-screen approach to the videos, graphs and charts that accompany
the roadshows.

NETRoadshow records presentations at investment banks and produces an
on-line version, adding supportive multimedia before making a
presentation ready for the Internet. All material presented in a
roadshow is password protected. Passwords are secured by investment
firms from an authorized institutional salesperson at the investment
bank managing the offering.
