GTE Internetworking's Speech and Language Processing Group Wins Best of Show at CT Expo '98

GTE Internetworking's Speech and Language Processing Group was awarded 'Best of Show' at the Computer Telephony Expo '98 held in Los Angeles, California. The Group received top honors from this premier industry event for its flagship product, the BBN Hark Recognizer(TM), a large vocabulary, speaker-independent, continuous speech recognition engine.

Specifically designed for telephony applications, the BBN Hark Recognizer integrates all speech features and capabilities into a single application, making installation, deployment and management easy and efficient. The BBN HARK Developer's Toolkit(TM) augments the HARK Recognizer and provides the speech engineer with powerful tools to quickly build and tune speech applications. The Toolkit's capability for rapid prototyping significantly reduces application development time.

Winners were then cited in the April 1998 issue of Computer Telephony.
