NEW YORK, NY -- NYNEX and IBM will announce plans today to jointly develop a new set of telecommunications networking products and services.

The announcement will come at a press conference at 10 a.m., during which the two companies will explain the new offerings and demonstrate how they work.

At the event, NYNEX will announce its strategic vision for serving the business market. Two other related announcements will be made: an alliance with Newbridge Networks and an agreement with Bell Atlantic.

The press conference will take place at NYNEX headquarters, 1095 Avenue of the Americas (at 42nd Street), New York, NY, 23rd Floor auditorium. The event will also be broadcast to the auditorium at NYNEX's Boston facility at 185 Franklin St.
