Verizon to Hold Free Electronics Recycling Event in Ashburn on April 21

ASHBURN, Va. - Verizon will host an Electronics Recycling Day on April 21, from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Verizon campus, 22201 Loudoun County Parkway. The event is open to the public. Items collected will be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally friendly way. They include: computers, LCD monitors, gaming consoles, telephones/answering machines, stereo/audio equipment, remote controls, cameras, electronic toys and small appliances such as coffee makers, toasters and can openers.

CRT monitors will not be accepted. Nor will televisions, refrigerators, freezers or any items that may contain hazardous waste -- such as batteries, ink and toner and mercury light bulbs -- or medical waste.
