Though downgraded to a tropical storm, Laura continues to pack a punch as it moves east. Our emergency response teams have already initiated repair work along the Louisiana and Texas coast where it is safe to do so.
Yesterday, the Verizon Foundation announced a $1 million donation to support immediate relief efforts across communities in Louisiana and Texas impacted by the hurricane. The funds will be donated to the American Red Cross and the Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana, with each charity receiving $500,000 to aid in their emergency response and recovery.
Customers in the direct path of the storm may be eligible for unlimited calling, texting and data from now through September 1. Get all of the details, as well as ways you can help the Red Cross and other relief organizations, here.
Please consider donating to the VtoV employee relief fund to assist V Teamers in the aftermath of this storm and other natural disasters.
