On today’s episode of Up To Speed, Communications Director Steve Van Dinter takes us on a trip to Hawaii and Alaska with Kelly Kurtzman, Senior Vice President of Consumer Field Sales. The team visited 18 stores across both states – in less than a week!

In Hawaii, we hung out with Ella Bactad, a retail manager in Lihue, on the island of Kauai. In Kahului, we heard from retail specialist Deshawn Carillo.

“The Ohana spirit is alive and well,” Kelly said. “It’s a family here. Everyone cares about one another, and they’re also dedicated to improving results and thriving [throughout] the quarter.”

In Fairbanks, Alaska, we heard from Retail Manager Jamaal Tanner and Retail Assistant Manager Parker Blain. Jammal emphasized the great value that our 4G LTE home internet brings to the local community. “Internet is something that's kind of hard to come by here,” Jammal said. “It’s unlimited; it’s a good price. It sounds very basic but, for here in Alaska, those two things aren’t always the easiest to find.”

Kelly has a goal of visiting all our V Teamers, in all of our stores, across all 50 states – so, keep an eye out for her. Your store might be next!
