Happy Monday, V Team! On today’s edition of Up To Speed Live, host Raquel Wilson shared a full news rundown.

Suicide and Crisis Lifeline

This past weekend, the United States took an important step toward improving mental health access: As of July 16, calls and texts to 988 are being routed to the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, a national network of more than 200 local and state-funded crisis centers.

The Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration administers the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, in partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs, which manages the Veterans Crisis Line.

Verizon is a proud supporter of this initiative: our landline customers can now call the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline using the new 988 abbreviated dialing code. Wireless customers can also send text messages to the 988 short code.

A reminder that Verizon has plenty of resources to support our V Team, like Verizon’s Employee Assistance Program which provides solutions to help you balance work and life through confidential and easily accessible services. And our Health & Wellness team is always here with a variety of impactful programs to empower you to establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Earning’s week

It’s earning’s week, which means in just four days we’ll be going live with our results from the second quarter. Tune in Friday, at noon ET for our webcast to hear our leaders discuss our performance, where we’re going and what you can do to help us get there.

You can watch by clicking the link in the calendar invite or signing into the Inside Verizon app. If you still haven’t downloaded the Inside Verizon app, you can find it on the Apple App store or Google Play store. Once downloaded, register your device with the app and sign into your Verizon account to access the livestream.

And if you work out of the Basking Ridge office, come on down to the lobby to watch the webcast live, in-person!

This quarter, the webcast will be internal only and you’ll have the opportunity to ask our leaders your results-related questions! If you have a question to ask, you can click here to submit your questions.

Be sure to tune into Up To Speed all week to learn more about why we hope to see you on Friday.

If you have any questions, email them to live@verizon.com.
