We went on the road this week and paid a visit to our bustling call center in Wilmington, NC. Jess got to meet many of the friendly customer service folks who assist our customers each and every day. Did you hear about the record speed we hit?
We teamed up with Samsung, Motorola Mobility, and Qualcomm to demonstrate 5G peak speeds of 4.2 gigabits per second on our live 5G network!
How did we do it? Using carrier aggregation, the companies combined eight separate channels of millimeter-wave (mmWave) spectrum to achieve the multi-gigabit speeds on Motorola’s upcoming flagship smartphone.
“We continue to innovate and introduce advanced technologies on our 5G network that will help us reach never-before seen mobile capabilities and create new and exciting use cases across the consumer and enterprise landscape,” said Adam Koeppe, who leads Technology Planning. “Using 5G carrier aggregation, we are able to achieve unprecedented mobile speeds and bring the massive bandwidth available with mmWave spectrum to life,” said Koeppe.

Purpose Champion Carolyn Frazier put heart into everything she does.
Carolyn Frazier, a Field Sales Director at Verizon Media in New York City, is one of our Purpose Coin recipients. After losing her mother to a heart attack, she turned personal tragedy into a public purpose. She’s been a volunteer for the American Heart Association for the past 10 years raising awareness and funds -- and helping to save lives.
Hats off to you, Carolyn, for living your Purpose!
