RootMetrics news
Today, we announced that Verizon’s 5G network was once again crowned the most reliable in the nation, according to RootMetrics’s State of Mobile Union Report. This comes on the heels of Verizon’s network being named Most Awarded for Network Quality, 31 Times in a Row by J.D. Power, and Verizon’s network being undefeated for overall network performance in 96.8% of the metro area tests Rootmetrics performed in the first half of 2023.
This is all possible thanks to our incredible engineers who are creating the best network experience for our customers.
811 reminder
This Friday is August 11, the perfect opportunity to remind you about the importance of calling 811 before you dig.
Jen and Raquel handed it over to colleague Jess Bonardi to explain. As Jess aptly put it, “to dig or not to dig, that is the question.” Jess explained that calling 811 or visiting call811.com before any digging project “reduces the chance of damaging underground utilities, including Verizon fiber.” Damaging Verizon Fiber can lead to major communication disruptions, including access to 911, another reason why it’s important to double check before digging!

There's a new deal on +play, Verizon's one-stop-shop to discover, purchase and save on subscription services. Customers can get Netflix’s Premium Plan on us, with the purchase of a one-year subscription to MasterClass or Super Duolingo. This new deal is exclusive with a limited time offer on +Play.

MET AR experience
The experience allows visitors at The Met to scan artwork and bring elements of the works digitally into the global immersive gaming platform Roblox through augmented reality.
Visitors can download the Replica app for free and then access the in-app map to guide them to artworks around the Museum, learn about different works of art, and digitally collect unique pieces for free.

Recently, Aparna Khurjekar, Chief Revenue Officer for Business Markets & Software as a Service, was named as one of the Top 25 Channel Sales Leaders, part of CRN’s Top 100 Executives for 2023.
In addition, Rashel Graves, Director of Channel Program Operations and Enablement, was named to CRN’s 2023 Inclusive Channel Leaders list, which celebrates 100 leaders promoting diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging across the channel.
We also want to congratulate Mark Tina who was named as the new VP of Channel Partners Sales and Channel Chief.
Mark will lead our Channel and Partner distribution teams across the country to continue establishing Verizon Business’ leadership in channel, drive profitable growth and deliver a best-in-class customer experience.
SMB Days
Small Business (SMB) Days are back! SMB Days, launched in 2021, is a recurring program dedicated to helping small and midsize businesses through advice and best-in-class offerings.
This year’s SMB days are aimed at providing small business customers with the necessary technology and tools to kickstart their mobile communications, connectivity, and security needs.
From August 7-13, small and midsize businesses can meet with a Verizon Business expert to receive a complimentary Tech Check across critical areas of their business. Plus, small and midsize businesses can take advantage of special promotions during this time, including a free 5G phone when you switch to Verizon with a new line, no trade-in required.
Save up to $300 when you bring your number to help cover your costs to switch. They can also receive a great deal on offerings such as Verizon’s award-winning wireless LTE and 5G Business Internet solutions.
