PCS PRIMECO ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS
INCLUDING NEW MIDWEST REGION PRESIDENT


DALLAS - A series of personnel moves and adds to a growing
business
organization were announced today by PCS PrimeCo, L.P., the personal
communications services (PCS) partnership of AirTouch Communications
[NYSE:ATI], Bell Atlantic [NYSE:BEL], NYNEX [NYSE:NYN] and US West
[NYSE:USW]. Effective April 1, the following four executive
appointments will take effect:

Robert Johnson has been appointed to the new position of Midwest
Region president, with overall responsibility for the company's
Chicago and Milwaukee markets. Johnson also will be responsible for
directly managing the Chicago market operation. Johnson will report
to Lowell McAdam, PCS PrimeCo's executive vice president and chief
operating officer.

Joe Woods, who has successfully led PCS PrimeCo's Chicago market, will
move to lead the company's Milwaukee market as vice president and
general manager, reporting to Johnson.

Keith Kaczmarek, vice president - engineering and operations, will
take over additional responsibilities previously held by the company's
chief technical officer, Jim Petit, who announced his retirement in
January, effective in April, after 33 years in the telecommunications
industry. Kaczmarek reports to McAdam.

Sharon Marrow has been appointed to the position of vice president and
general manager for PCS PrimeCo's Mid-Gulf States market. Marrow has
been serving as vice president - sales and marketing for the Chicago
market. Marrow will report to Daniel Sutherland, Southwest Region
president.

"Creating the new position of regional president strengthens our
Midwest team and ensures a quick build out and aggressive customer
focus," said McAdam. "Bob Johnson's wireless experience
throughout
the world adds to the quality of expertise that will ensure PrimeCo's
success in the marketplace."

"Keith Kaczmarek, Joe Woods and Sharon Marrow all bring a wealth of
experience to their new managerial roles and facilitation of PrimeCo's
network build and delivery to customers," McAdam said.

Woods and Marrow both fill positions that have been vacant since last
month.

Johnson most recently worked for Bell Atlantic International as
executive vice president and chief operating officer for TeleZone
Corporation in Ontario, Canada. Prior to that position, he held
numerous positions with Bell Atlantic Mobile including regional vice
president.

Prior to joining PCS PrimeCo, Woods was general manager - Personal
Communications Services Group for AirTouch Communications. He also
held numerous other positions at AirTouch, including executive
director of corporate strategy and new business development.

Kaczmarek joined PrimeCo from AirTouch Communications, where his last
position was executive director - advanced technology. Previously, he
held the position of vice president of technology development at
Nextel Digital Mobile Networks, and various positions with PacTel
Corporation, GTE and Rockwell International.

Marrow's prior experience includes marketing and operations management
positions for Bell Atlantic Mobile, Dixons Silo, Inc., and Voronado,
Inc., and founder of an urban restaurant establishment with annual
gross sales of $1.1 million.

PCS PrimeCo won 11 licenses to provide PCS services to a U.S.
population covering more than 57 million people. The company plans to
deliver its wireless services to customers later this year.
