STAMFORD, Conn. - Of the 24 players named to the recently announced 1999 GTE Academic All-America Football Team, 10 players are from Division I-A teams participating in post-season bowl games, including quarterback Chad Pennington of Marshall, who was named 1999 GTE Academic All-America Team Member of the Year.
