Uplift people and protect the planet. We admit those are lofty goals, but that’s what we do at Verizon: We take on the world’s biggest problems and reimagine how we live, work and innovate to solve them. Not because we’re told to, but because we want to. It’s what being socially responsible is all about.

Together, we can make a real difference in the world, and it starts by tapping into the skills and talents of our V Teamers in three focus areas (what we call our pillars): Digital Inclusion, Climate Protection, and Human Prosperity.

Digital Inclusion

Together, we’re removing the barriers to economic prosperity by making technology more accessible to all. We’re opening more doors by bringing connectivity and digital skills to the people who need it most.

Climate Protection

We’re reducing our environmental impact while expanding our reach and technology.

Human Prosperity

We’re putting prosperity to practice, ensuring that every employee, supplier and member of our communities benefit from inclusive and equitable business practices, and have the resiliency to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

It starts with us.

At Verizon, we’re fostering a culture where everyone is empowered and enabled to make a lasting positive impact. How can you help? By volunteering your time to reach our ambitious goal of 2.5M volunteer hours in our core focus areas by 2025.

To get involved, visit our new volunteer portal. It’s really simple. Set up a profile and start volunteering in hundreds of curated opportunities in the U.S. and internationally.

There are opportunities available regardless of schedule — in-person and virtual, night and weekend — so everyone can get involved. But remember, that customer needs come first. If you'd like to volunteer during business hours, work with your manager to ensure there is coverage before signing up to volunteer.
