Small businesses’ appetite for fast, reliable Internet capability is increasing as they move larger files, images and video to and from their customers. A reliable, fast Internet connection can enable small-business owners to run their business more efficiently, saving them time and resources.

Yet, to date, most small businesses can receive information far more quickly than they can send it.

That’s changing for Verizon’s small-business FiOS Internet customers.

Starting today (Sept. 22), we’re launching SpeedMatch, which will increase small-business customers’ FiOS Internet upload speeds to match their download speeds. This means a customer with our 50 megabit per second download/25 Mbps upload option will receive 50 Mbps for upload and download. This SpeedMatch upgrade applies to our FiOS Internet speed options up to 500 Mbps.

SpeedMatch will offer a more consistent Internet experience for such applications as:

  • Sending large files such as customer proposals, training videos, engineering drawings to customers or to the cloud for storage.
  • Video conferencing via FaceTime, GoToMeeting or other apps.
  • Updating social media with images, videos and other large files
  • Streaming live events online.

The upgrade to SpeedMatch, which is made possible by the power of Verizon’s all-fiber network, will be free to nearly all eligible current customers. It’s one way for us to say thank you, we appreciate your business, and we want to continue to support you so you can focus on running your business better.

Verizon is committed to providing an outstanding customer experience. And customers are noticing. Verizon is ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Very Small Business Wireline Service” in the latest J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Business Wireline Satisfaction Study.

Verizon has consistently raised the bar for Internet services since we launched FiOS in Keller, Texas, 10 years ago.  And we’ll continue to innovate for our customers.

Verizon received the highest numerical score among very small business wireline providers in the proprietary J.D. Power 2014 Business Wireline Satisfaction StudySM.  Study based on responses from 4,220 business wireline customers measuring 9 providers and measures satisfaction among wireline service decision-makers with very small businesses.  Proprietary study results are based on experiences and perceptions of consumers surveyed in April-June 2014.
