MCI WorldCom Introduces Circuit View And Circuit View Plus Frame Relay For Business Customers

New Tool Offers Cost Effective, Real-Time & Historical
Reports To Enhance Network Monitoring

Jackson, April 12, 1999 --

MCI WorldCom (NASD: WCOM) today introduced Circuit View and Circuit
View Plus, an innovative network management and reporting service for
its frame relay customers. MCI WorldCom Circuit View and Circuit View
Plus, an extension of MCI WorldCom's Interact portfolio of network
management tools, delivers industry-leading frame relay service coupled
with robust customer-specific, real-time network performance
information.

"Circuit View delivers a top-down, real-time window into our
customer's frame relay network," said Chris VanLuling, MCI
WorldCom's director of Data & Enterprise Services. "Our
customers asked for more detailed monitoring and planning tools to
maximize their networks, but they didn't want to make pricey
up-front investments. With MCI WorldCom Circuit View and Circuit View
Plus, customers benefit from more than 60 reports to help analyze and
optimize their networks."

The rapid deployment of network technologies such as frame relay,
has made high-speed data communications a critical component of
business today. MCI WorldCom Circuit View and Circuit View Plus deliver
industry-leading frame relay service in conjunction with Visual
Networks' (NASD: VNWK) robust, network performance information in a
simple "point and click" reporting template. Network
performance information is made available to multiple designated
workstations via a private segment on a shared server, allowing
customers to better manage their network, with no costly equipment
investments.

HOW MCI WORLDCOM CIRCUIT VIEW & CIRCUIT VIEW PLUS WORK

MCI WorldCom Circuit View and Circuit View Plus incorporate
high-powered hardware and software from Visual Networks to form a
network-wide, end-to-end data collection system. Connected to MCI
WorldCom's Network Operations Center via a shared Visual UpTime
Performance Archive Manager, MCI WorldCom Circuit View customers are
able to maintain direct access to the entire Visual Uptime system as a
standard component of the service, including the system's
performance monitoring, trouble shooting and enhanced planning and
reporting toolsets.

This shared view into both real-time and historical network
performance, between the service provider operations and enterprise
management staff, enables MCI WorldCom to work collaboratively with
customers and enhancing their experience with MCI WorldCom frame relay
service.

MCI WorldCom Circuit View Plus offers enhanced "life
cycle" performance manager support -- via a predefined rate
structure -- provided by MCI WorldCom's expert network operations
staff to help analyze data and generate reports for customers that have
limited MIS staff.

PRICING

MCI WorldCom offers simplicity in pricing, as well as reporting.
Pricing is standard tariffed frame relay and customer premise equipment
service pricing plus a flat monthly recurring service charge per device
that includes Project Management and Helpdesk fees. Enhanced "life
cycle" manager support is included in the MCI WorldCom Circuit
View Plus Pricing.

The monthly fees for MCI WorldCom Circuit View and Circuit View Plus
decrease when service is ordered for more than one year. During a
limited promotional period, customers will save between 35 to 55
percent on MCI WorldCom Circuit View and Circuit View Plus if ordered
in conjunction with a new MCI WorldCom managed services contract.
