A letter from Hans Vestberg

I want to take this opportunity to tell you how humbled I am to lead Verizon as the next CEO.

Hans Vestberg, Verizon CEO

Hans Vestburg, Verizon Chief Executive Officer

Dear V Team,

I want to take this opportunity to tell you how humbled I am to lead Verizon as the next CEO.

Since I first joined Verizon, I have had the privilege to work closely with Lowell, and have witnessed firsthand his leadership and vision for Verizon’s role in shaping the future of technology. I have also gained a deep appreciation for the fundamental strength of the business and the exciting opportunities ahead. Perhaps most importantly, I have come to understand how special the V Team culture is. It is this culture of integrity and innovation that attracted me to Verizon in the first place, and it is why I’m so excited to lead the company forward as CEO.

I plan to quickly meet and learn from as many V Teamers as I can so I can better chart the opportunities ahead.

It is an exciting time to be in technology and media and I am confident we can continue to achieve growth over what is certain to be a period of expansion, change and disruption. I believe there is no company better positioned to take advantage of the convergence of connectivity and content than Verizon.

We will continue to execute on our strategy – continue to build next-gen networks and continue to meet customers in new ways on the platforms they choose with all sorts of new experiences.

Even though we have a changing of the guard, do not lose focus.  To that end, I’ll leave you with one line from the Credo that I think is particularly relevant right now: “we know teamwork enables us to serve our customers better and faster.”

Thank you for all of your hard work and continued commitment to Verizon. I am super excited about the future and ready to roll up my sleeves.

Sincerely,
Hans Vestberg
