Celebrating Women’s History Month.

V Team,

Today, we kick off Women’s History Month. As Verizon 2.0 objectives call out, we are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and inspiring workplace. Our theme for Women’s History Month this year says it all: “All of us. Balance for better.”

Inclusion is about “All of us,” bringing our whole, authentic selves and working with one another to create a sense of belonging where everyone is empowered and contributing.

It is also about “Balance for better,” which is also the 2019 International Women’s Day theme. It’s a day where we recognize and celebrate the achievements of women around the world and their contributions towards making organizations like Verizon and society better.

As the executive sponsor of the Women’s Association of Verizon Employees (WAVE), I know first-hand that this team supports women’s career development, builds an inclusive culture, delivers for our customers, and impacts our community. This month and beyond, there will be plenty of opportunities to participate in various activities, engage in conversations, and share experiences with each other. I hope you all, female and male V Teamers alike, will join in these discussions and inspire each other to make a positive difference.

Let’s celebrate the strength of our diverse V Team and the power of inclusion.

Marc
