Green Bond Reports

Verizon is one of the largest corporate green bond issuers in the U.S. Our green bond program is instrumental to our efforts to meet our climate goals. Since 2019, Verizon has issued $6 billion of green bonds, the net proceeds of which have been allocated primarily to renewable energy purchase agreements that support new renewable energy projects across the country.

Each Green Bond Report contains or incorporates by reference a Report of Independent Accountants that provides limited assurance as to the amount of net proceeds from the issuance of the applicable green bond allocated to qualifying eligible green investments. Verizon relies on the application of internal policies (including those requiring the creation and maintenance of accurate records and the establishment of internal controls over externally reported financial and non-financial information) and compliance with data quality standards and verification procedures set forth in our ESG information governance and control frameworks to validate the other data in the Green Bond Report.
