    • You haven't enrolled in Auto Pay.

Sign in to My Verizon to manage notifications.

How can I change my payment due date?

If you just need to change your payment date for the coming month, consider making a payment arrangement instead. Sign in to manage your Payment options.

To change your ongoing monthly payment due date, contact Customer Service or dial *611 from your mobile phone. Keep in mind:

    • You must be the Account Owner or an Account Manager.
    • Changes can't be made while the current bill is processing (during the 4 days after your billing period ends).
    • When you change your payment due date, your billing period changes:
      • To adjust from the old to the new billing period, you may get up to 3 separate bill statements in 45 days.
      • Each bill may include a device payment charge (if applicable) which must be paid. The total number of your device payments doesn't change.

When will Verizon process my bill payment?

When we process your payment depends on whether it's:

    • Scheduled payments - Are debited from your checking account or charged to your credit/debit card on the scheduled payment date.
    • One-time payments - Are debited or charged within 24 hours of submitting the payment.

Bill payment options and late payments

I have several lines on my account. Can each person pay a portion of the bill?

Yes, you can have multiple people each pay part of a Verizon mobile bill. However:

    • Auto Pay can only be from one payment source, for the entire bill.
      • If you're getting an Auto Pay and paper-free billing discount, you must use the Auto Pay payment method or the discount won't be applied.
    • The Account Owner is ultimately responsible for all charges being paid.

Here are your options for having different people pay a portion of the bill:

    1. Each person pays the Account Owner; the Account Owner pays Verizon.
    2. Make the person who needs to pay an Account Manager. Each Account Manager (limit 3 per account) can pay their portion of the bill.
    3. Create a sub-account. If you want a relative who lives elsewhere to get a bill for their portion of your Verizon mobile bill, you can put their line on a sub-account. A sub-account is a separate account in your name that has a different mailing address. Contact Customer Service to start a sub account.

What if I can’t pay my bill on time?

If you can’t pay your bill on time, you may be able to set up a payment arrangement. Payment arrangements can keep your service active until you can pay your bill. Options include:

    • Future-dated payment - Schedule an automatic payment for when you’ll have funds available.
    • Promise-to-pay - Commit to a future date when you’ll pay your bill. Then, pay us on that date.

You may also be eligible for a split arrangement - pay partially today and the rest on a future date.

Can I break up my bill into different payment amounts?

    Yes. If your bill:

    • Is due or past due now or overdue already - You may be able to split your payments. Learn  about payment arrangements.
    • Isn't due yet - You can make pay in advance with a credit card or debit card:
      • You can pay up to $500 over the balance due.
      • Using the Verizon Visa Card, you can earn 1% in Verizon Dollar rewards on your Verizon purchases.

When is my payment late? Am I going to be charged a late fee?

If we don't get your payment after the due date you're charged a late fee. The late fee is the greater of the following, if allowed by law in the state of your billing address:

    • Up to 5% of the unpaid balance; or:
    • A flat $7.

Important: If you can't pay your bill on time, you may be able to set up a payment arrangement to ensure your service stays active until you can pay. Learn more at our Payment Arrangement & Promise to Pay FAQs.

Can I ask Verizon to remove a late fee from my mobile bill?

Maybe. If you're eligible to dispute a late fee, you'll see that option on the Bill Details page in My Verizon.

    After you make the request:

    1. Our decision (approve or deny) appears right away (in My Verizon).
    2. If your request is approved, we apply a credit on your next bill.

We can't remove a late fee if:

    • You're not the Account Owner or Account Manager.
    • You've been with Verizon for less than 2 years.
    • This late fee was billed over 30 days ago.
    • You've been credited for another late fee in the last 6 months.
