Each year, your Verizon Fios TV team works with content owners and programmers to continue delivering the best programming on Fios TV with access to over 690 channels of content in our daily line-ups. The agreements we negotiate with these companies enhance your viewing experience, with everything from the nightly lineup to our on-demand library with over 170,000 titles, live streaming, services for vision-impaired customers and the Fios TV app so you can watch around or outside your home.
We negotiate hundreds of these agreements each year and, while we are able to reach mutually agreeable terms with the majority of our programming partners prior to any service disruptions, sometimes broadcasters and cable networks demand unacceptable price increases. Since such excessive increases would translate into significant increases in the rates you, our customers, pay each month, we will stand for you against unreasonable rate increases for TV programming.
We think it is important that our customers have the latest information regarding our efforts to work with programmers to reach reasonable rates and terms, so we encourage you to visit this site regularly to stay updated on the status of our negotiations.
Thanks for choosing Verizon.

We’re reaching out with an update on our Fios TV negotiations with Cox Media Group. Our agreement with Cox has expired and, as a result, we do not currently have the rights to broadcast their channels, including:
- WFXT (FOX, Charge!, Laff) in Boston, MA and Providence, RI
- WPXI (NBC, MeTV, Laff, Pittsburgh Cable News Channel) in Pittsburgh, PA
We understand this is frustrating, and we share your disappointment. We have been in extensive negotiations with Cox to reach a new agreement that is fair and keeps your bill from increasing unreasonably. Unfortunately, they are demanding increases that are neither reasonable nor fair.
This situation isn't new for Cox. They've had similar disputes with other providers as recently as last year, leading to their channels being dropped from those lineups as well. While we remain committed to securing a fair deal and bringing these channels back, we couldn’t agree to their terms without a service disruption.
We appreciate your patience and support as we continue to negotiate reasonable pricing on your behalf and hope Cox will restore its channels to our lineup soon.
In the meantime, know that some of Cox Media Group’s programming is still available to you through other options. For our impacted residential customers, here are some other ways you can keep watching:
FOX and NBC channels:
