Enterprises looking to move workloads running on SAP software to cloud-based or hosted environments can do so with the help of Verizon Enterprise Solutions. Verizon is now a global SAP outsourcing operations partner and SAP-certified provider of cloud and hosting services, as well as SAP-certified in SAP HANA operations services. Several Verizon cloud data centers in the US, Europe and Asia have been certified as reference sites.

The certification confirms Verizon’s ability to deliver high-quality services supporting a wider variety of hybrid deployment models to customers running SAP solutions. This agreement also deepens Verizon’s relationship with SAP, which includes deploying the SAP HANA platform, in Verizon’s cloud-enabled data centers. “Enterprises want to be able to deploy SAP workloads around the world in a safe, proven-successful environment,” said Mark Kotwas, executive director, product management and development for Verizon Enterprise Solutions.

“Our commitment to high-quality IT services, including cloud, hosting and colocation, and our experience working with SAP, make this a natural fit for our enterprise clients.” As an SAP-certified provider of cloud, hosting and SAP HANA operations services, Verizon will provide a cost-effective delivery model for mission-critical SAP applications. To achieve this certification, Verizon’s infrastructure, physical and logical security measures, processes, portal and technical staff went through extensive review by SAP to validate the operational integration of its support of SAP applications to meet SAP’s requirements for quality, availability and security.

Through these certifications, Verizon can perform a range of IT services related to SAP applications, from initial proof-of-concepts to rapid deployments for customers of their SAP solutions.
