Bell Atlantic and TDA, Inc. today announced an agreement with Snapper,
Inc. to offer customized Web sites for Snapper's 5,000 independent dealers
nationwide. In addition, the agreement includes marketing and
maintaining Snapper's corporate Web site. Snapper, headquartered in
McDonough, Ga., manufactures a full line of residential and commercial
lawn and garden products.

Today's announcement marks the national launch of the Web@Once
product, a new electronic commerce service from Bell Atlantic. Snapper is
the first major national advertiser to contract with Bell Atlantic and TDA,
a national yellow pages and Internet advertising agency, to create a
corporate-wide Web presence for all of its dealers.

Company officials say a five-page Web site, customized for each dealer,
will be available for Snapper dealers at a discount from the $115 per
month retail price. The service includes creation, hosting, a custom URL
(Web site address), updates, customer service, and links to the dealer's
listing on BigYellowSM(www.bigyellow.com), Bell Atlantic's popular
national online shopping service.

These new national Web sites benefit from the recent designation of
BigYellow, in conjunction with GTE SuperPagesTM as the exclusive
Yellow Pages shopping service on the America Online service, AOL.com,
and AOL's Digital City, exposing advertisers to a potential audience of
more than 16 million AOL members.

"We have established an easy way for Snapper to create a national
marketing presence on the Web and for the corporation to offer each of its
dealers a simple way to establish their businesses on the Internet," said
Mike Souder, vice president of Bell Atlantic Electronic Commerce
Services. "Today marks the beginning of a great partnership to provide
national dealers an easy on-ramp to the Web."

"Our agency has administered the Snapper yellow pages program since
1975, and it's a natural extension of our services to now help them gain a
larger presence on the Internet," said TDA Executive Vice President Gene
Ray. "The individual dealer Web sites, combined with the Snapper
corporate advertising program on BigYellow, will give our client
significant exposure to online shoppers and ultimately help drive more
sales to Snapper dealers."

The five-page Snapper Web site is a customized template that will feature
a consistently branded design and common navigation functions for all
Snapper dealers. It will include pages for products, prices, warranties, and
testimonials. It also will include an email capability, so that customers and
dealers can correspond regularly. In addition, an electronic commerce
feature-enabling customers to order products online through dealers --
can be added if Snapper elects to offer this capability in the future.

Individual dealers will be able to customize their site with specific dealer
information, such as name, address, phone numbers, fax numbers, special
offers, and a variety of products and services the dealer wants to promote.

"Our agreement with Bell Atlantic and TDA allows us to bundle multiple
services in one easy package," said Neil Egan, Snapper's Senior Director -
Marketing and Advertising. "We're able to offer our dealers a hassle-free
and cost-effective opportunity to get online. By centralizing a dealer Web
site program, we maintain a consistent marketing message and graphic
content. Plus, through Bell Atlantic's BigYellow service, and related
promotions, we will be driving more Web traffic than ever before to our
corporate and dealer Web site."

Bell Atlantic will create and host the Web sites for dealers. TDA will sell,
fulfill orders and provide customer service. Snapper's revised Web site
(www.snapper.com) and Web promotion campaign is up and running.
Dealer Web sites will be added throughout the year.
